One work, a solid 18-inch copper cube modeled after the exact dimensions of a FedEx box, is shipped raw, uncrated via FedEx to and from each location, and each waybill is placed directly on the surface of the piece.  The accrued handling marks, labels and oxidation stains are beautiful accretions of chance and imperfections as proof of the work's passage through time and space, positioning the work to be in a constant state of creation.  The title of the work follows this state of flux—each shipment's tracking number, shipment locations, and dates are included—and contributes to the overall obsession and main exploration for the artist.  Each box stands as "a way to materialize that change of context [from one exhibition space to another].  In this sense the marks are an analog   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1150 characters.]  Artist bio
